Front 3’s with Gaetan & Rusty In Slash Snowboardmag
The newest issue of Slash just dropped, with a couple shots of mine in there for the first time. With the new snow that is falling these days and all the new issues coming out I am getting excited to get back in the snow and start shooting. You can check out the whole issue online, if your local shop isn’t cool enough to carry it.

SBC Buyers Guide
SBC just dropped their first issue which is the buyers guide for this season. Along with all the great new gear there is a interview with Martin Gallant that is worth a read, and if you haven’t checked out the Crew Challenge yet make sure you peep the videos.
SBC Crew Challenge
Last season SBC put together a contest with with the help of D.C. and Powder Mountain Catskiing where four of Canada’s top filming compaines had a few days to put together a edit. They built a bunch of features in powder mountains tenure and let the crews loose. I got teamed up with the Brothers Factory at the last minute and came out with a few keepers after it was all over. The weather was less then ideal for the most part but on the final day the clouds parted and all the features saw some action. Click on over to SBC and vote for your favorite crew.
Aaron “Trout” Maksymec

Push.ca is putting together some pieces on the people and characters that are behind the scenes in snowboarding the content on that site is just getting better every month. It takes a special kind of person to roll with one of the loosest crews in snowboarding. Trout gets it done on a daily basis, check him out on push.ca
Pique News Magazine Lake Lovely Water
The pique has a travel feature this week with a couple of my shots from a trip I did up to Lake Lovely Water a while back. One of my favorite images from the trip is of Dave Straton who came along from Whistler Fishing Guides laying out a nice cast.If you are in the area I highly recommend calling up Ian King from Whistler Air for a flight in, the fishing is usually tough but with the cold summer we have had I bet the fishing is still going off up there.
Dr Carla Cupido
I had a great shoot with a new client last week. Dr Carla Cupido has opened a new clinic in West Vancouver called Baseline Health if you are in the area and need a little tune up stop by, you won’t be disappointed.
Here is a little info on their practice and beliefs:
A combination of passion, creativity and medical science has produced Baseline Health™. We are an imaginative group providing manual medicine, rehabilitation, preventive movement prescription, health education workshops, movement based programming, and online health resources.
Baseline Health™ recognizes that our work is only one piece of the whole health puzzle. We therefore support the integration of all health disciplines. This concept of teamwork is sewn into the fabric from which Baseline Health™ was formed.
We believe that education is the key to health. Without understanding how your body works, how can you properly care for it? At Baseline Health™, our goal is to equip you with the tools required to live healthy and strong. Operating on the leading edge of health research, we strive to offer the most current approaches and information available.
Baseline Health Fundraiser
One of my new clients is opening up a exciting new practice in West Vancouver. To kick off her new practice and space ,Dr. Carla Cupido is hosting a fundraiser tonight at the Beach House Restaurant for the Canadian Cancer Society’s Camp Goodtimes. Amongst the impressive list of items up for auction is one of my favorite images of Shin Campos. I know how important camp was in my upbringing. It taught me how to appreciate the outdoors, fishing, hiking, and making-out in the trees. All things I still enjoy doing these days. So if you are in the neighborhood stop by and check out the auction and help send a kid to camp.
Family Vacation
I spent most of June traveling around British Columbia with my family taking in the sites and being a tourist. It was refreshing to go to a bunch of my favorite spots with people that were experiencing it with fresh eyes for the first time. I feel lucky to live in one of the best places on earth. Here are a couple shots from our travels.
If you go to tofino, make sure you go fishing with Chris Eby at Wild West Inn & Charters it is a guaranteed good time!
