I’m always stoked to get a call from a repeat client, especially when they’re as fun as the crew at CrossFit Whistler. It was time for them to refresh their website and marketing images. The idea behind the shoot was to show off their new space, as well as produce images that display the relaxed group atmosphere they offer with their training, while helping you achieve your goals.

Claudia Avon Tear Sheet

Here is a recent tear from Jones Snowboards featuring Claudia Avon. Claudia has been ripping lately and dropped a great edit last season, I can’t wait to see what she comes up with this year from her travels.
Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Advertisement
A while back I went on one of those bucket list trips/assignments that every time I think about I still get a little giddy. Some of the imagery is starting to pop up in tourism advertisements for the region. If you are still undecided on where you want to take your vacation this year, don’t hesitate to check out the Bella Coola area no matter what the season is they have something amazing to offer.
BULA Catalog Shoot With Mark Gribbon Photography
I teamed up with Planet Pictures Media recently on a catalog shoot for Bula. The Art Direction and concept came from the always talented Stu Mackay-Smith, and wIth a tight deadline we had one day to shoot all the product in action at the Bounce Facility in Whistler. All the models came through with some stellar performances, stay tuned for a behind the scenes video that is being put together.
Gary Wayne
“Necessity is the mother of all invention”
I did a little shoot with a friend last week for his new ski company Gary Wayne , which has been starting to take off a little. Sheldon is one of those rare individuals with a style and an imagination that can’t be matched. A couple years back he was unhappy with the way his skis were preforming in the deep coastal snow. You see he was holding down two season passes at once, one at Mt Baker and the other one here in Whistler and bagging more pow days in a year then most people get in a lifetime. So to get the most out of his skiing he made his own powder specific skis and hasn’t looked back. With a couple orders this year and a special edition ski made for Powder Mountain Catskiing, I bet it won’t be long until you see these popping up every where.
Nice work Sheldon.
Gaetan Chanut
One of my favourite images of Gaetan was recently used in a new Sims ad. One of the things that makes this photo so special is Gaetan is riding an original Noah Salasnek model including the low backs from the early 90’s. Back at that time I was probably still rocking my Craig Kelly and the whole crew was jealous when our buddy Domi showed up with that deck. Twin tip, skate inspired graphics, it was one of the first boards to bridge the gap between skateboarding and snowboarding and was much different then anything we had seen at that time.
The day we shot this I remember Gaetan pulling out that deck and all my memories of riding golf courses and Mount Chili as a kid came flooding back. However, we were never pulling corked sevens like him! They also used one of my images in his profile on their website, check it out he is holding down seniority over there next to Tom.
Thanks Gaetan.
