Kale Stephens Living Legends
Summer edition of Mountain Life
The newest Mountain Life just hit the stands, with a story that I worked on with the always entertaining Feet Banks. We were lucky enough to make the trip up to Bella Coola last summer and visit Tweedsmuir Park Lodge. Everything up there is just bigger, the mountains, the bears, the fish, it is like the whole place is on steroids, it really is worth the life threatening drive to check it out. Here are a couple pics that didn’t make it into the mag, and also a shout out to the crew running Mountain Life they just won an award at the Western Magazine Awards.
Film
I love digital. But I have been missing the excitement you get from waiting on that roll to come back from the lab. Bryn Hughes was nice enough to lend me a camera to scratch that itch, as my last film camera is in the hands of some lucky bandito in Central America. Here are a few from the past couple of months while I was out scratching that itch.
Martin Gallant Living Legends
Push.ca just dropped the next video in their Living Legends series. This time around it is on Martin Gallant. They really did a great job on his interview, like always Martin is truthful and entertaining in it and it shows some great footage from over the years. Don’t miss out on it it really is worth the watch. Above is a slideshow that I put together in 2009 for the Island Lake Lodge Photo Shoot Out, where along with Helen Schettini and Justin Van Der Poelen and Martin we won best overall portfolio.

Vancouver Canucks & Shane Adams
I made the trip down to Vancouver a couple days ago to run some errands. The usual stuff, pick up some prints, drop off some film at the lab, lunch with my buddy. I walked around for a bit taking some photos and then ran into one of my oldest friends Shane. It just so happened that it was game five of the western conference final and Shane was on his way in to work when he got a call that he had won a ticket to the nights game. As luck would have it I was standing beside him when he got this call, you see if he can’t give away the ticket in five minutes then it goes on to the next guy on the list. For me it was right place right time!

Quick trip to Seattle
Took a little detour south last weekend with my beautiful girlfriend and checked out Seattle. We had a great time, the people were really nice, enjoyed a great dinner at Anchovies and Olives and checked out the EMP who is hosting a exhibit on Nirvana right now that is worth the drive if you were a little grunge nerd like I was back in the day. Here is a couple shots from the trip.
Shin Campos Living Legends
Push has started a new series called living legends that they are producing right now. They dropped the first one with Dennis Bannock a little while back, and they just put out another one with Shin Campos recently. They are both packed with interesting interviews from a assortment of characters that have been around the Canadian snowboard scene for a while and are worth checking out. Nice work boys.
Spring In The Mountains
The last couple days have been great. It is spring in the mountains which makes for long days and some great snow conditions. It looks like the weather is going to bring us another system with hopefully a full reset on the slopes. In the meantime I will have to spend some time on the river I guess, it is looking just as nice as the mountains these days.
